World's Largest Swimming Lesson
According to the City of North Port, “This free global event, launched by the World Waterpark Association in 2010, helps raise awareness about the life-saving importance of swim lessons and water safety as a key part of drowning prevention. Participants will have access to helpful water safety resources and can choose from two lesson times.“

According to the City of North Port, “This event showcases the beauty of the 3-mile Oakheart Trail with a native plant walk led by Stocking Savvy, an environmental consulting company, from 9-10:15 a.m. A local wildlife walk presented by the City of North Port’s Parks and Recreation Department follows from 10:15-11:30 a.m. Wellen Park Outfitters will host a guided bike ride from 11:30 a.m. to noon.“
